Manchester Airport (IATA: MAN, ICAO: EGCC) is an international airport located in Ringway, Manchester, England, about 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Manchester city center. In 2022, it ranked as the third busiest airport in the UK by passenger volume (the busiest outside of London) and was the 19th busiest in Europe in 2023, serving 28.1 million passengers.

The airport features three passenger terminals and a cargo terminal, covering an area of 560 hectares (1,400 acres). It offers flights to 199 destinations, making it the 13th largest globally in terms of destinations served.

Originally opened on June 25, 1938, as Ringway Airport, it was later used as an RAF base during World War II, known as RAF Ringway. The airport is managed by Manchester Airport Holdings (MAG), owned by the Australian finance group IFM Investors and the ten metropolitan borough councils of Greater Manchester, with Manchester City Council holding the largest share.

In 2017, the airport began a major expansion to double the size of Terminal 2, with the first phase opening in 2019. The £1 billion expansion is set for completion in 2024, allowing Terminal 2 to accommodate 35 million passengers. The airport has the capacity for up to 50 million passengers annually across its two runways, though this is constrained by a restriction of 61 aircraft movements per hour and the current terminal capacities for handling arrivals and departures.
